The film takes place in Canada. A beautifully written and directed lesbian romance and love story, that culminates between two woman that embrace each other through their own passion to experience an unusual and creative sensual relationship amidst a dual environment; both, coming from completely different walks of life, and finding each other in a mutual place of loneliness and indulgence.

 Camille is a school teacher of mythology at a religious private school, engaged to Martin, a man she had been dating from the school for some time. She finds herself unfulfilled with her surroundings, which are rather constraining and boring.

She begins to feel an inner longing for something more, and a feeling of loneliness amidst the people in her life, and lacking emotion for her current partner. Unexpectedly, she runs into an unusual women named Petra, while tending to her laundry at the laundromat, who takes interest in her, having found her crying over the death of her beloved dog Bob.
